who will win?????

So ladies Jesse and I have an ongoing discussion about whether the amount of time I talk to my mom every day is normal or not so I told him I would put a poll on my blog and see if I am "normal" or just a weirdo who talks to my mom way more than 4 times a day! Here's a list of other crimes I am guilty of...

*Spending a whole day with my mom and calling her once I get in the car to go home

*Talking to her for 1.5 hours only to call her back once I shower/feed KC/or go to the bathroom

*Call her first thing in the morning... as soon as I know she will be out of bed..

*Call her as soon as I get to work

*Talk to her while I am grocery shopping to make sure that I get the right ingredients

*give an hour by hour update of the baby and her feedings/diaper changes/sleeping for every day

Don't worry the calling is completely reciprocated, if I haven't called my mom by 9:30 she calls me to see what's going on!! ha ha

So please cast your vote so we can figure out if this is normal or if I really am a wacko ;) I should mention on the other hand that Jesse can easily go a week maybe two without talking to his mom and not care one little bit!

This is me to a T!!! I totally call my mom every day, or she calls me! I call her from the grocery store to find out if she knows where I can find a certain ingredient, or call her to tell her unimportant happenings from the day before. We run errands together a few times a week, and if she starts missing Mason too much (like, if she hasn't seen him for a day), she will come over. I don't think it's weird at all, and actually love the closeness I have with my mom. Jeremy goes WEEKS without talking to his mom, and while he does agree that I'm SUPER close with my mom, he is glad I have someone to support me while he is gone all day at work. :)
AND, we just moved IN with my parents for 2 months! SOOOO, I get to see a whole lot more of mom and we still sit and talk or talk on the phone if one of us is gone all day. She's my best friend. :)

Haha I do the same thing Jess! But I don't talk to her for over an hour because she is usually going somewhere.....but I do talk to her every day at least 4 times a day! I think it is a girl thing because there is that strong bond between mother's and daughters.
Tell Jesse sorry but your not crazy for that....but you may be crazy other ways ;)

I'm totally the same way. Even shopping with her all day I'll call her or she will call me on the way home. I don't think its weird or crazy at all. It's nice to have the mom/daughter bond and I hope I have it with Paislee.

um...crazy? no...it is a little much though. :) I try to talk to my mom first thing in the morning, but some days, every other day. Some girls love talking to their mom though and that is totally fine!

You are totally normal!!! Shiloh comes over 5 days a week or more sometimes. Especially since having Tacoma! Girls just need their MOMS in ways the boys don't, believe me, I know. I have 4 sons and sometimes I talk to their wives more than I talk to them on the phone! The wives give me more details than my sons!!! Tell Jesse you are lucky to have your Mom close and not long distance like it used to be for me. Dean had to pay $90 a month, if I was really homesick or needed my Mom's advice on Babies or what ever!!! Love ya, Hope all went well with the blessing today! Love , Debbie

Sounds Pretty normal to me...i think it is the Mothering instincts that wants us to be with our moms...They understand exactly what we are going through!! Tell Jess not to worry...Consider it a blessing to have your mom so close to be with:)

once you become a mom, you will ALWAYS be her mom and she will call you a billion times a day for anything and everything and you will love it because you love her and that is just how it goes...simple as that:) that is great that you and your mom are so close:)

Hah! I'm laughing so hard! To me, this is a little extreme, but mostly because I am at the other extreme and only talk to my mom once or twice a month. Our relationship is fine, we are just not best buds or super chatty, I guess! I think it's great that you have this with your mom though, so I'm definitely not judging.

Thanks so much for your kind post. It was really so sweet of you to write and then also to let me know about it. I'm glad your little girl seems to be healthy and well.
